Shoeby is one of the Netherlands' largest fashion retailers, known for its in-house designed collections and personal styling service. With over 220 stores and a strong online presence, they focus on making fashion accessible while helping customers express their individuality.

Solutions
Login & Account Management
We updated the login flow to make registration and sign-in seamless. A key feature was account merging—helping users recover existing accounts instead of creating duplicates. This preserved order history and loyalty benefits, reducing frustration and improving retention.

Loyalty Program
The old system rewarded users with "points" that were converted into discount vouchers. We replaced it with real monetary rewards that could be used instantly at checkout. The result? A simpler, faster, and more engaging loyalty experience with overwhelmingly positive user feedback.
Better Mobile Navigation
We improved the mobile menu based on real user behavior, making navigation more intuitive. Every menu item is now fully clickable, enabling direct access to subcategories and reducing friction in the shopping journey.

Faster Search Performance
We addressed a major issue with the search functionality: users experienced long loading times after clicking on the search bar. Given that speed is crucial for e-commerce, we optimized the search performance, significantly reducing wait times.

Log Management & Error Monitoring
We enhanced error monitoring and log management to keep Shoeby’s platform running smoothly for faster issue resolution and long-term stability. Since Ecommerce Cloud’s logs expire after seven days, tracking recurring issues was challenging. To fix this, we integrated New Relic to provide:
Extended Log Storage: Track and analyze issues beyond the seven-day limit.
Instant Error Detection: Catch API failures and performance bottlenecks before they affect users.
Automated Alerts: Immediate notifications for critical issues, even outside working hours.
Data-Driven Website Enhancements
We constantly improve the website through testing to enhance user experience and efficiency. For example, our developer implements A/B tests using VWO to compare checkout processes and identify the most effective approach.
Our role is to assess technical feasibility, develop a solution, and implement changes based on the findings. After testing, analysts review the results; if performance improves, we keep the changes, and if not, we explore new solutions. Step by step, we refine the site to make it more user-friendly and efficient.
Lazy Loading Optimization
We optimized image loading by implementing lazy loading, significantly improving site speed and performance. The main challenge wasn’t just enabling Lazy Load but fine-tuning its logic to work dynamically and efficiently for our platform. While Lazy Load is a standard solution, we customized it to be adaptive and controlled, ensuring optimal performance without compromising user experience.

Stable Website & Payment System
Ensured seamless order processing with no failures, allowing the team to support every purchase confidently.
Minimized risks during annual payment system updates, which often cause disruptions. Our optimizations have reduced gaps, ensuring uninterrupted transactions for users.
Also, we are currently working on eliminating the need for external cartridge updates, leading to faster and more efficient payment processing.
